In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Revealed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

This release also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature skills: Naoe introduces a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns.
