At long last viewers can commence: initial five minutes of the fifth season of Stranger Things revealed.
The fifth season of the streaming giant's supernatural blockbuster the hit series is expected to be one of the biggest events of 2024. The first part premieres on the 27th of November, but a clip of the spine-tingling initial moments has been shared online.
The Opening: An Echo to the show's origins
This installment, named The Crawl, takes fans back to the beginning of the show in 1983, following the loss of the boy.
"Do I remain or leave?" Will sings in an effort to keep calm in the Upside Down.
The situation rapidly turns horrifying the moment a demogorgon appears and pulls Will to the stronghold of the villain. "At long last, we can begin," he says to the youth simultaneously sending a vine into his mouth. "You and I, we will accomplish such beautiful deeds together."
Broadcast Dates and Big Screen Events
The second part of the ultimate installment is scheduled to premiere on December 26, while the series finale available on January 1 – and will also have shown in select movie theaters.
Plot Summary
The description reads: "The fall of that year. The town is damaged by the opening of the Rifts, and the main characters join forces by a shared mission: locate and eliminate Vecna. Yet he has disappeared – his location and plans a mystery. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the community under strict lockdown and stepped up the pursuit for the character, forcing her to go underground. As the commemoration of the event looms, arrives a profound, known fear. The last showdown is on the horizon – and accompanying it, an evil mightier and more dangerous than anything they have battled before. To stop this nightmare, they will require all members – the full party – united, one last time."
Creator Comments
The surprise clip was uploaded to YouTube after the series' Los Angeles premiere recently, which was attended by the stars such as the lead actress and David Harbour.
"The scale of the season has increased … It features heightened thrills and enhanced CGI, yet it is likewise easily the most emotional season as it concludes of the journey for all of these characters," the series' co-creator, commented regarding the final episodes.
The other creator and partner, added: "Launching it in the world is anxiety-inducing, yet we're ready to finally show it."
