Football Expert Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland before the international break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be quite close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in good form with three in their last four games.

My son told me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

They have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of October.

But I am not do that. Instead, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
