Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Connected to Player Rashee Rice
The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night indicating they have knowledge of claims of abuse made public in social media posts by a ex-partner of wide receiver Rashee Rice and were in contact with the NFL.
The team did not mention the player specifically in their statement and noted they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice directly, shared a set of images on Instagram that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. Jones stated the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has kids with the football player, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.
Police Reports Reportedly Not on File
No official complaints were available in the Kansas City suburb where the incident is said to have taken place.
Player's Recent Off-Field Troubles
Rice was absent for the first six games of this season following an NFL suspension for his role in instigating a crash on a Dallas highway that resulted in multiple people hurt. He was given 30 days in jail and probationary supervision after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
Statistically, he finished the season with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Kansas City went 6-11 and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a ten-year span.
