'Living a Nightmare': Loved Ones of Missing Teenagers Await Answers After Alpine Fire

The relatives of teens lost after a deadly fire at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are facing an painful wait for answers and appealing for information about their loved ones publicly.

The fire devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Confirmed footage reveal the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Emergency services have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the victims of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of 40 people and hurt another over a hundred. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to identify the remaining few.

In the meantime, relatives have been posting on the internet to plead for information about their friends who were at the bar that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

The fate of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, 16, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his parent.

The who lives of Lutry near the city, told a local newspaper that she had returned to Lausanne to check whether he was in the medical facility, while his other parent did the same in the capital, but could not find him.

The Italy's foreign ministry has indicated that a number of of its nationals have not been located.

Young athlete Emanuele Galeppini, sixteen, was last in contact around the turn of the new year on New Year's Eve, his father said.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage junior golfer, who hailed from Italy but now residing in Dubai.

The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is deceased, without directly referencing the tragedy, honoring a "young athlete who represented passion and authentic values."

His parent, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An official spokesperson has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is not yet.

Additional Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His parent explained that he had been on vacation but had gone out with a group and found himself at the bar.

"Someone with him told me they escaped after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.
