Your Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Zodiac Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's launch, to players developing firm opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique designs that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Remain on the good side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross species, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, each the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed love of snacks. Many past official descriptions note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this total queen. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an endless fountain of chatter to those who wants to listen. Much like an captivating, gregarious Gemini, it's very simple to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds very similar to a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a intense symbol famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The sign famous for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a plan.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to worry more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Spirit/Flame category matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also very Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
